swap velcro for a snap
I had bought these shoes a while back at a thrift store for my youngest daughter. I debating getting them because she is the youngest she doesn't need more shoes, she will just wear her sister hamidowns but these polka dot shoes were so cute I couldn't pass them up. Also they are real leather which is hard to find now days so I justified the purchase with cuteness and quality.
Her feet were finally big enough to fit in them this last week, as she wore them to church I realized they kept coming un-velcroed. The velcro was in good condition but with being a normal 2yr old they would not stay velcroed.
After sleeping on it a night (you know the laying in bed and can't fall asleep) I had the idea to add a snap!
Oh snap was that a great idea!!
I started with ripping out the velcro that was already there. I then added these fun snaps that I found last summer at a garage sale, I followed the instructions on the package.
I did that to both shoes and Ta-da! Now these adorable shoes stay on my wild 2yr old!
These are the tools I used for this little project.
Let me know if you have ever added a snap to fix something.
